Success in same-sex marriage case

Phoenix Law are delighted at the Judgment in the case of Petition X. The Court of Appeal ruled our clients were unlawfully discriminated against by not having their same sex marriage recognised in Northern Ireland. Ciaran Moynagh said, "The couple were relieved when the law changed on 13 January 2020 to recognise their marriage. A failure to provide personal protective equipment may not only carry civil liability under the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978, it also could amount to a criminal offence. Ciaran Moynagh spoke with the Belfast Telegraph and advised healthcare workers in fear to email their employers with their concerns.
