Failure to provide NI’s frontline medical staff with PPE could amount to a criminal offence.

A failure to provide personal protective equipment may not only carry civil liability under the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978, it also could amount to a criminal offence.

Ciaran Moynagh spoke with the Belfast Telegraph and advised healthcare workers in fear to email their employers with their concerns. He said “very often when a paper trail exists, issues will be taken more seriously and are less likely to be disputed at a later stage.”
