The Historical Institutional Abuse redress board has sat remotely and the first set of payments to include the interim awards of £10,000.00 are now being made.
Claire McKeegan told the Irish News, “we have seen a surge in survivors coming forward to make applications for long overdue redress. It is welcome news for survivors that the redress board has begun sitting and assessing applications for compensation.”
