Croke Park GAA Dispute Resolution Authority DRA Hearing

Phoenix Law have been retained by Dromore GFC to appear before Croke Park GAA Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA) in respect of the controversy flowing from the Minor Football Championship which was latterly halted, as a result of an abandoned penalty shoot-out competition.

The Tyrone County Board previously confirmed that the Minor Football Championship will not be completed this year as the controversy dragged on.  The competition has been at a standstill since last September due to a dispute which was currently making its way through the various appeals process over a quarter-final tie between Dromore GFC and Trillick GFC.

Dromore previously lodged an appeal into their expulsion from the competition, having opted not to take part in a penalty shoot-out when their quarter-final against Trillick finished level after extra-time due to the absence of any day light at the time the penalties were to be taken.

When the appeals processes were exhausted, the matter was referred to the highest appeal authority, the Croke Park Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA).

Dromore GFC instructed our Mr Darragh Mackin to appear before the Croke Park Arbitration proceedings.

The background to the appeal can be read here.

(The Croke Park GAA Dispute Resolution Authority DRA Hearing occurred on Monday 8th January 2024 and the written judgment has not yet been published)
